Lady Monarchs Drop 5-2 Decision To UPenn

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Penn women's tennis team defeated Old Dominion, 5-2, to improve to 5-0 in dual match play in 2004. The Lady Monarchs fell to 4-5 dropping their fourth straight. No. 33 Nataly Cahana defeated Penn's No. 69 Nikky Ptak, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, before the Quakers took four of the next five singles matches with included straight-set wins by Raluca Ciochina and Sara Schiffman. Freshman Fernanda Luiz also earned the Lady Monarchs a victory with a three set, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 win over Chao. The Lady Monarchs retunr to action on Friday night against N.C. State at Center Court Racket Club in Newport News, VA. Penn 5, Old Dominion 2
