ARRIVAL

 

From: Norfolk Airport

To: Hotels

Time: 16 minutes

 

Follow the signs to Exit the Airport

You will end up on Norview Ave upon exiting

Stay on Norview Ave until you reach the junction with I-64 (1.3 miles)

Take the second I-64 ramp (I-64 East to Virginia Beach/Chesapeake)

Merge onto I-64 East (4.2 miles)

Take Exit 284A to I-264 West to Downtown Norfolk

Continue on I-264 West (4.9 miles)

Take Exit 10 to City Hall Ave

At the end of the exit ramp, you’ll come to a traffic light

Take a LEFT at the light onto Saint Paul’s Blvd

 

To Courtyard By Marriott

You’ll then take an almost immediate RIGHT onto Plume St

The Courtyard By Marriott will be half a block down on your RIGHT

(520 E Plume St)

 

To Waterside Marriott

Stay on St. Paul’s Blvd about two blocks

Take a RIGHT onto Main St

The Waterside Marriott will be two blocks down on your LEFT

(235 E Main St)

 

From: Tennessee & (Most of) Virginia & Newport News Airport

To: Hotels

 

Find out how to get to I-64 East from your starting point

(For those of you coming from the Newport News Airport, take a LEFT onto Jefferson Ave upon exiting the airport. You’ll be on Jefferson Ave about a mile before hitting the entrance to I-64)

You will come into to Norfolk on I-64 East

Take Exit 276 to Granby St

(This is a normal RIGHT exit, but the ramp splits half way down. Be sure to stay the course to Granby St by taking the LEFT side of the split ramp.)

Merge onto Granby St at the bottom of the ramp

Continue on Granby St (3.1 miles)

After 3.1 miles, you’ll have to take a RIGHT at a light to stay on Granby St. (There is a sign with an arrow indicating this.)

 

To Courtyard By Marriott

Stay on Granby St another 1.9 miles

Turn LEFT onto Plume St

The Courtyard By Marriott will be three blocks down on your LEFT

(520 E Plume St)

 

To Waterside Marriott

Stay on Granby St another 2.0 miles

Turn LEFT onto Main St

The Waterside Marriott will be a block and a half down on your RIGHT

(235 E Main St)

From: North Carolina & South Carolina

To: Hotels

 

Find out how to get to US-58 East from your starting point. (Almost all of you will reach it via I-85 or I-95)

Beware of speed traps on I-58!

You will pass through Suffolk, VA

You will pass a Waffle House at the eastern edge of Suffolk.

After the Waffle House, stay on US-58 East for another 13.8 miles

Follow the signs for I-664 South to I-264 East

Stay on I-664 for 1.5 miles

Take Exit 15A to I-264 East

Stay on I-264 East for 7.9 miles

Take Exit 9 to St. Paul’s Blvd/ Waterside Dr

Stay to the LEFT to go to St. Paul’s Blvd

At the light at St. Paul’s Blvd, turn LEFT

 

To Courtyard By Marriott

Stay on St. Paul’s Blvd a little over a block

Turn RIGHT onto Plume St

The Courtyard By Marriott will be half a block down on your RIGHT

(520 E Plume St)

 

To Waterside Marriott

Stay on St. Paul’s Blvd about three blocks

Take a RIGHT onto Main St

The Waterside Marriott will be two blocks down on your LEFT

FRIDAY NIGHT

 

From: Hotels

To: Friday Night Bar/Restaurant

Time: 8 minutes

 

From Courtyard By Marriott

(To go LEFT onto City Hall Ave, you actually have to take a RIGHT and then U-TURN at the designated spot just a few yards down the street)

Turn LEFT out of the parking garage to go onto City Hall Ave

Stay on City Hall Ave for about three blocks

Turn RIGHT onto Granby St

Continue on Granby St 1.3 miles

 

From Waterside Marriott

Turn RIGHT out of the parking garage onto Martin’s Ln

At the end of the block, take a LEFT onto Main St

After half a block, turn RIGHT onto Granby St

Continue on Granby St 1.4 miles

 

You’ll then come to a light at the intersection of Granby St and Princess Anne Rd

Turn LEFT onto Princess Anne Rd

You’ll go through thru three traffic lights (The third one is a blinking light.)

At the fourth light, you’ll be at the intersection of Princess Anne Road and Colley Ave

Turn RIGHT onto Colley Ave

The Colley Cantina will be on that first block on your RIGHT side

You will most likely have parallel parked on Colley Ave

Head back south on Colley Ave towards Princess Anne Rd

Take a LEFT onto Princess Anne Rd

You’ll go through thru three traffic lights (The first one is a blinking light.)

At the fourth light, you’ll be at the intersection of Granby St and Princess Anne Rd

Take a RIGHT at the light to go onto Granby St

Turn LEFT onto Plume St

After 1.0 miles on Boush/Llewellyn, turn LEFT onto Shirley Ave. (There is no light at this intersection. As land markers, there is an elementary school on your RIGHT and a high school football field on your LEFT.)

Congregation Beth El will be about 0.2 miles down on your RIGHT (422 Shirley Ave)

Turn RIGHT out of the parking garage onto Martin’s Ln

At the end of the block, take a LEFT onto Main St

Stay on Main St for a block and a half

Go straight and follow signs for 0.6 miles

Merge to the RIGHT to go onto I-264 East towards Virginia Beach (4.8 miles)

Take the I-64 West exit towards Richmond. This is a LEFT exit

Merge onto I-64 West (4.5 miles)

Take exit #279B to Norview Ave East

Norview Ave East will take you directly to the airport (1.3 miles)

Take a LEFT to go onto I-64 West

You need to know where to go from I-64 West

(For those of you going to the Newport News Airport, take exit 255B off of I-64 West. You’ll be on Jefferson Ave about a mile before seeing the airport on your RIGHT)

I-264 will merge into I-664 North for 1.1 miles

Take exit 13A to US-58 West

Beware of speed traps on I-58!

For most of you, you’ll stay on US-58 West until you hit Emporia (intersection with I-95) or South Hill (intersection with I-85).
